HCS Scholars Academy Guidance Department

The purpose of the school counselor is to assist and support students toward academic success. The counselor works in conjunction with the principal, teachers, and staff to address the academic, social, and emotional needs of students.

HCS Scholars Academy students and parents are encouraged to visit the counselor for academic planning, social concerns, college and career planning, and testing information. The counselor will meet with all students and parents annually to continue to develop an Individual Graduation Plan (IGP).

It is the counselor's goal to facilitate academic success while preparing students for post-secondary education and future career of choice.
