Horry County Schools is proud to announce that eleven more of our students are recipients of National Merit Scholarships!

Congratulations to Rachel Pirttima - Academy for the Arts, Science & Technology, Lauren Mathis - North Myrtle Beach High School, Justin Hawes, Chase Kaluder, Samuel Laing, Haydn Sloop, Joseph Trotta, and Guoxin Zhong - HCS Scholars Academy High School, Tristen Cordi and Noah Marks - St. James High School, and Joseph Dennison - Socastee High School

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC®) has awarded these students National Merit Scholarships in recognition of their superior academic achievements.

The purpose of Scholars Academy is to serve Horry County Schools’ most academically capable students at an accelerated rate and level commensurate with their abilities. HCS Scholars Academy is located on the campus of Coastal Carolina University (CCU).
